Back to School and Learning Packages

• Students are returning back to school fulltime on Monday 25 May, following their normal timetable with a Week A.
• School will resume with the normal curriculum with the exception of some activities that cannot go ahead for now – such as interschool sport, excursions.
• A reduced remote learning package is attached for school work this week. The learning package for this week will be due by Tuesday next week, 26 May.

Details for students
• Students will need to bring their laptop or tablet as well as their normal books for their normal timetabled lessons from Monday 25 May.
• The normal timetable and bell times will run throughout the week.
• Please bring a water bottle and any food you would like to consume at school. The canteen is not yet open.
• Sport will be conducted at school until further notice. Students need to wear their sports uniform on Wednesdays.
• All students are expected to wear full school uniform including the correct school jumpers and jackets.

Welcome Back Year 9!

Welcome back to our Year 9 students who despite the chilly weather, enjoyed the chance to catch up again with their friends and teachers. Exploring their next learning package and their approaches to online learning, our students are also enjoying their health and wellbeing lessons, providing an opportunity to engage in some individual outdoor fitness.

Junior Learning Packages Week 3

  • The attached sheet details the Remote Learning Package for this week. The sheet outlines the learning tasks in the package and provides students and families with very clear instructions on completing tasks.
  • The learning package for this week will be due by Tuesday next week, 19 May.

Welcome Back Year 8 – Staged Return Day 2

Today, Year 12 kicked into the groove of their tutorial learning, working hard throughout the day to consolidate and practise those crucial exam skills across their subjects. We also welcome Year 8 back for their day of in-school learning, very excited to reconnect with their school and their friends. Looking forward to seeing Year 9 tomorrow!

Week 3 Staged Return – Welcome Back Year 7 and 12!

It was so wonderful seeing our students walking into school today. There were many excited, familiar Year 7 and 12 faces as they began a staged return to school this morning. Year 12 engaged in their first tutorial sessions wile Year 7 were working through English, Mathematics and a consolidation of their remote learning packages. A productive day saw our students leave school happy and supported, with Year 7 to continue learning from home for the remainder of the week. We are looking forward to seeing Year 8 tomorrow!

·            The school day for all days will be from 8:40am till 3:00pm.

·            Students in Years 7-10 are to wear their SPORTS UNIFORM on their allocated day.

·            Learning to continue with online learning packages and tasks.

·            Please bring a water bottle and any food you would like to consume at school.

·            Junior students will meet in the Quad at 8:40am to start the day.

Details for Year 12

  • Attend school 4 days per week at sessions of up to 90 minutes in each course delivered twice a week.
  • Students will need to bring a laptop or personal device as well as pen & paper with them as they work through their learning packages
  • The timetable and rooms will be placed up outside the office area. Study areas will be available and identified for students to work quietly between sessions.
  • If there is any new content or deeper content being covered during the sessions, these will be uploaded to the student’s classrooms.
  • A tertiary style attendance model that allows students to be present at school only when they have a class, or remain at school in designated study areas to work individually on packages.
  • Learning to continue with online learning packages and tasks.
  • Year 12 students do not have to wear school uniform during this model of return given that they will be in an out of school.
  • Please bring a water bottle and any food you would like to consume at school.
  • The school will use different areas to do our very best in working towards social distancing.
  • Please note, engagement with course work and tasks is required for meeting course requirements.

  • Teachers are marking and providing feedback to students on their progress throughout the week, which they can see on Moodle and Google Classroom.
